It is the wish of all of us, as citizens of Japan, that young people grow up to have rich minds and broad perspectives, to be socially aware, and to be able to carve out their own future. However, with the rapid development of the information society, the environment surrounding youth has changed drastically, and problems such as delinquency, bullying, and child abuse have become more serious and even life-threatening. Therefore, the Kusatsu City Youth Development Conference will be held with the aim of gaining a correct understanding of youth, learning about youth issues, and deepening mutual cooperation among participants. Under the slogans "If adults change, children will change," and "Local children should be protected and nurtured by the community," let us develop a citizen-wide movement for the sound upbringing of youth.
